Dynamic Conferencing Industry

The conferencing industry is not static, rather it's extremely dynamic and constantly evolving. During this decade, conferencing has grown from $1 bil in sales per year to more than $8 bil during 2008. The projections actually have the industry reaching $12 bil per year by the end of 2010. This may seem like a large number, but consider that reservationless conferencing was roughly 25 cents per minute in 2000 compared with much much lower numbers in the single digits today.

The bread and butter in terms of the largest scope of use in the industry remains "just plain audio" meetings, however there is a growing trend to unify and integrate new products and services. Web conferencing and video conferencing are both up significantly, and with today's services and prices, even small to mid-size companies can maintain a strong presence in these areas. While the larger companies spend a great deal of money building in-house video conferencing systems, small to mids compete on a level playing field with only a computer and webcam.

Long ago, we learned that one size does not fit all in conferencing, and therefore, we offer all of the most popular platforms used today. While WebEx has certainly captured a large market share in web conferencing, we have found that there are a number of other more economical and flexible solutions.

At Global Link Communications, we are professional shoppers. We have deals in place with all of the major providers and offer their same service at significantly discounted rates. As always,
contact us at your convenience to discuss your conferencing needs.
